Elizabeth was born on November 3, 2010 at 1:45 in the afternoon. We are transitioning our pregnancy blog to her baby blog. While most of her pictures will be hosted on our Shutterfly website, we hope to include some fun stories about her development.

She's getting bigger

Baby's now the size of an onion!
Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. Her umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes now feature one-of-a-kind prints.

New Due Date

We had another doctors appointment today. The doctor says that everything is looking good. All the test results came back showing the baby is healthy and we heard the heartbeat again. They moved my due date up to November 1st based on the measurements they took at our first ultrasound. I'm going to leave the countdown clock with the original date until we have our next ultrasound. I'm starting to show a little bit...enough that I had to buy some actual maternity pants. Not ready to go to maternity shirts yet : ). Our next ultrasound is scheduled for June 3rd.

It's an Avocado

Baby's now the size of an avocado!
Watch what you say...tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean she can now pick up your voice. So Gabo....no swearing near my tummy. A few more minuscule changes: Eyebrows, lashes, and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming.

Ultrasound Pictures

Our ultrasound was amazing. When we started the baby was asleep so the technician woke it up by poking my stomach...yes you heard me correctly. But then we could see the baby flopping around and even opening it's mouth.

Week 13

Baby's now the size of a peach!
Our baby is forming teeth and vocal cords. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with it's head now only one third the size of it's body. And intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy -- much more convenient.
